  1. Absolutely, however you may be very disappointed in the picture quality. If your VCR actually has a S-VIDEO connection.... then that would be your best option.

  2. Yes, I don't think you'll find many LCD monitors without Audio/Video inputs, usually by way of RCA connector jacks. To be safe, check the particular monitor or monitors to be sure those connections are included.
