If I put a wide brake binding (100mm) on my public enemy's (85mm waist), will it effect the skiing at all?

  1. The 7 mm that is out on each side should not really bother you if you have a riser plate to prevent boot out.  The 7mm is about 1/4 inch, unless you are projecting the ski way out from under you in a turn, it should be just a minor inconvenience.


  2. No, I put a wide brake on my 85mm Fugatives and it has not affected skiing at all...In fact i believe you need a wide break if you have an 85mm waist....well anyway, you should be fine, have fun w/ the PE's..

  3. If your brakes are too wide they will plow snow when you carve turns. You should be alright though, you'll only have 7 1/2 mm out on each side. Do you have risers? They would alleviate any brake drag.
