I got this ugly mosquito bite a minute ago and it looks bad on my cheek, and tomorrow's the first of school and I don't want to look horrible.I really want to get rid of it! So, if I put foundation on tonight, I am wondering if it'll stay on tomorrow also. I know it's easy to say just put foundation on tomorrow, but I'm asking this for a different reason. 10 points for best answer!

  1. im not sure what your reason is. but if its powder it will rub off on your pillow

if its liquid it might rub off a little but you will probably have to put more on in the morning to cover the bite.

  2. Oh, don't do that. Just put it on in the morning. If you leave it on overnight, it will get dirty and clogged, and take even longer to heal.

  3. I'm half-sure it'll just make your skin even worse.

You're supposed to wash make-up off for a reason.

  4. it depends what kind of foundation if its the liquid stuff it should stay on pretty good if its that powder stuff it usually will rub off on your pillow when you sleeping. hope this helps.

  5. I think it would really depend on how much you roll around in your sleep. Do you sleep on you back, or on you stomach?

Night is just like 8-9 hours. Does your foundation usually last 8-9 hours as it might have your-skin-factor. Also, will you not take a shower tomorow in the morning? eww....lol jk/jk

  6. for the mosquito bite you might try mixing  baking soda and just enough water to make a paste and put it on top of the bite.  This will reduce itching and redness.  As for the foundation, I don't think it would help at all since it would probable wear/rub off on your pillow.  Have a good school year.

  7. no it will be on your pillow.  stay up all night and don't lay down.

  8. i would say sure if you don't toss and turn in your sleep, but foundation does tend to fade away no matter what your doing, so no not really.

but the mosquito bit should be gone by tomorrow as long as you don't iriitate it.

(i think baby powder would keep it from itching.)

  9. If your skin has oily tendancies you can try an oil-free foundation. If you put it on at night and are worried about you getting it on your pillowcase, put a towel on your pillowcase before you go to bed!

I would honestly recommend putting on Calamine lotion on it. Or a hydrocortazone. Foundation will cover it up, but not necessary for nighttime. You can wear it in the AM, before school! Maybe bring it to school if you're really worried about it showing for "touch-ups" if you want. Good luck!

  10. Probably not, your face releases a lot more oils when you're asleep and you'll be rolling around... if you leave it alone, the mosquito bite will get better even faster.

  11. It will probably soak into your skin. My advice would be not to wear the foundation to sleep, though you want to hide the mosquito bite, it could cause irritation to your skin and give you a bigger problem, zits!

You could probably put alcohol on the mosquito bite to disinfect it and cortisone cream to stop the itching. My boyfriend got nearly mauled by mosquitoes yesterday on his neck, and it was almost nothing the next day.

Just clean it off. It probably won't be a big deal tomorrow. If it is, cover it up as much as you can. Good luck on your first day!

  12. No, that will actually probably make you break out, and that will look a lot worse than a mosquito bite. You should never sleep with make up on, it is extremely bad for your skin.

So, yeah you should definatly just wash your face and wait untill the morning to put anything on your skin.

  13. it depends what kind you use. if you use liquid water proof, it'll stay on all night, if it's dry when you go to bed. If you put powder, it will most likely rub off on your pillow. i suggest the water proof but make sure you put it all over your face, or else it will look like one spot on your face got attacked during the night !!!! :/

  14. Try putting an ice pack or cold compress on it first.  It will reduce the swelling.  If your want to use foundation to cover it, go for one that is long wear.  I know revlon has a good one for that.  Also, to give it a little more staying put power, add pressed or loose powder after the foundation.  There are also primers for the skin that are applied before foundation to make it stay on longer and give you a shine free look.

  15. It will probably rub off, and don't do that because it will cause acne. I suggest you use something like neosporin tonight, then tomorrow put ice on it to shrink it, and use a little concealer.

(oh, and if you tell me your different reason, I can help you too. I'm great at thinking up believable stories to fool parents and stuff.)

  16. A little of it will stay on, but some will rub of on your pillow at night.  If you want the bite to go down, hold ice on it for 5 minutes at a time, for 4-5 times, and put hydrocordizone cream on it, to reduce the redness, and swelling.

  17. you should always put makeup on in the morning, or it will clog your pores at night. it will still be there a bit, but it will sink into your skin and just cause zits. same with eyeshadow.

  18. Thats bad for your skin.

  19. it will be there tomorrw but instead of just being on your cheek, it'll be on all of your face. It smears.

  20. you can but most of it will rub off during the night on your pillow, also it clogs your pores and can make you breakout.  Hope this helps... XD

  21. The answer is simply NO! makeup obsorbs into your pores it will clog your pores (possobly giving you a zit) and it will also be on your sheets and pillows tommoro

  22. i dont think that the foundation will still stay because overnight your skin will completely absorb all of the foundation so therefore you might have to reapply in the morning.

  23. IIf your wearing liquid it might stay on, but powder wont.Since the bite is on your cheek, you could put on some blush, and than blend  in the redness from the bite with the blush. idk just a thought :) good luck!

  24. If u dont roll around in ur sleep, then probably yea... its not going anywhere....

and dont pick at it or it will get worse...

the mosquito bite will probably be gone tomarrow
