I went to work tonight after I put my two weeks in on Monday and my boss told me she gave away all my shifts. Do they have a set time limit that they need to give me my paycheck?

  1. Were you terminated?  I will answer the question under the assumption that you were.

It depends on the state where you live, so you should specify this in any question about labor laws.  In California, if the employer chooses the day you are terminated, they have to pay you on that day or they are subject to penalties.  You said that you gave notice and they let you go early, so this scenario applies.  In many other states, the labor laws are more employer friendly, and the next payroll cycle may be soon enough.

  2. you should be paid the day you leave or the payday after you leave, like you will get paid your payout in the next normal pay cycle.
