  1. Wider rims will not make it ride smoother. Handle better though. Lowering would be a bit costly. It would have to be done with lowering springs. All 4 spring would have to be replaced with shorter, higher spring rate springs.

  2. adding wider rims has the opposite affect on a car it actually makes one ride rougher, and you need to add lowering springs to it if you want to lower it,but it wont ride good at all if you do that,it sure wont have a smooth ride to it,you,ll feel every bump in the road if you lower it,good luck.

  3. Lower the ride and put wide, low profile, tires on it and it will ride like c**p.  Sure it looks cool, but it isn't comfortable over long distances.  The low profile tires minimize the flexibility of the tire since there is less of it around the rim.  Lowering it minimizes the amount of travel from the shocks and springs.  I'm a car buff, but be careful if you like your car.  Looks aren't always everything.

  4. It will make it ride rougher as you will have more tire on the road to run over bumps.

  5. Nope, wider rims are heavier than stock. They will cause a rougher ride, more wear on the suspension, probably need an alignment, have a wider turning circle, possible body work to clear, and they usually follow all the grooves in the pavement. So they can be harder to align and keep on the straight. BUT THEY LOOK COOL. you will definitely notice them. If you get them aligned right they will handle great on the track, but wear on the street.

  6. opposite. Getting bigger rims than reccomended for your car decreases the overall ride quality. The wheels on your car were engineered for that specific car to make the ride the smoothest. Anything bigger can make bumps more noticeable.
