Question:

If I quit smoking weed will I regain motivations and ambition?

I've only smoked weed 10 times in my life- 3 times this month. I've noticed that I've become less motivated, less ambitious and slightly less involved in harboring exceedingly active social relationships with peers. Although it's only been a week since my last toke. Will I regain these things if I stop smoking. Or are these negative effects permanent? Anyways I will stop smoking regardless, because frankly-- it's boring.

  1. You need to quit blaming the weed, theres nothing wrong with smoking weed. Ive smoked so much weed and still do, and I have no problems with anything. People taking over the counter drugs or prescription drugs have more to worry about than a "pothead". Anyway I agree with the girl a few above me. It IS retards like you and all the retarded, naive, uneducated yahoo answers that give weed a bad name. BRING ON THE THUMBS DOWN.

  2. these side effects are very typical of smoking weed.  and -luckily- only temporary.

They will subside as soon as you quick smoking!

    .

  3. Isn't it? Anyway, you'll be fine, though it may take a while -- THC sticks around in your body for months.

  4. You already know the answer to your supposedly thought provoking question.

Who knows, maybe you will regain your lost or waining qualities!

Question is (as I see it), by not imbibing, what is it that you have to lose?

    Good luck on your quest.

    Sash.

  5. i think you just want to blame your loss of motivation on something. honestly, it doesn't sound like you smoke enough to have it effect you in any way. its retards like you who give marijuana a bad name.

  6. You answered your own question, you are aware of how your body responded and if it bores you that's two reasons to stop.

  7. You're on the right track.

Smoking weed produces amotivational responses in us, so much so that it can feel permanent if you smoke regularly enough.

You've only hit the stuff a few times, so you're withdrawal won't be severe at all. Stay committed to staying clean and you'll be fine.

As a way to help yourself, find something you can do that will engage your in a prolonged activity. Cooking a meal, or making a dessert worked for me. You might also pick up an instrument and practice 20 minutes a day, or workout for 20 minutes 3 times a week (which we should all be doing anyway, right?)

Stick with it. You'll turn out fine.

  8. No. You becoming less ambitious is part of growing up. I went through the same phase you did. I smoke weed every day for anxiety and relaxation, and I still hold a great job, achieving a Masters, and enjoying a happy 21 years.

  9. i don't think you are feeling this way unless you are high. you'll go back to normal once you stop smoking for sure. it's like being drunk. you're only stupid and silly while you're drunk. afterwards, you go back to the same "normal" person.
