If I received service in 2007, but received the bill in 2008, to which year's deductible does it apply?

I received some medical services in 2007, and according to the statement I got in the mail, the amount was applied to my deductible this year. In 2007, I used up my deductible, but have not used my deductible during this year. So, should that amount count towards my deductible this year or last year?

It should go based on the date of service. I would call your carrier and ask them why it got applied to 2008.

Someone screwed up.They may have  looked at the date on the bill rather than the date of service.

Call them.  It should apply to the year services were rendered, 2007.
