Or will I have to go into the BIOS and fix it?

Running Asus Striker II Formula (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131255)

and

Seagate Barricuda (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148309)

Thanks...I installed this hard drive recently and forgot that I left the jumpers in, so just want to know if I removed it if it will auto set it to 3.0 or I have to manually do it.

  1. Taking the jumper off won't hurt anything, and assuming your motherboard supports SATA 3.0, then it will automatically go to 3.0 when you take the jumpers off.  I checked your board and it has 6 SATA 3.0 ports, so your set.

  2. Only if your board supports 3.0.
