  1. No.  Unless you're biking to McDonalds.

30 minutes isn't near enough to build any muscle bulk.

  2. muscle mass is leaner than fat mass so it is more likely that your thighs will get trimmer.

  3. It's hard to say, everyone's body responds to excercise in a different way. However, they will most likely get smaller because you are excercising more than if you did not.

And there is nothing wrong with toned thighs ;)

Keep it in the big ring.

  4. No,

Cycling is an aerobic sport mostly, also much less weight bearing compared to running or lifting.  Therefore, the muscle will become stronger, but with less bulk (hypertrophy), as in lifting.

When cycling, try to keep your intensity up.  It is easy to get caught strolling through the park and not gettinf the intensity needed for weight loss.  Try to find areas where you can ride without having to stop very often, and of course be safe.

    Have fun!

  5. Maybe if you eat during your ride, ride to a restaurant and eat then eat some more on the way home. Otherwise they'll either stay the same or maybe get a bit more toned assuming no change in caloric intake.

  6. no. they will get stronger and better defined--and sexier.

  7. no
