If i rip a cd..will the information in the cd be gone...and all the music is transferred into the computer?

or is it just copying it and will not harm the cd?

  1. It will not harm the CD.  Just be sure to only use the songs you rip from the CD for your own personal use and do not distribute them or trade them with others.  That would be the same as STEALING from the artist.


  2. After you rip it, the information will still be there.  The computer just copies it and puts a copy on your computer.  It's just as harmless as listening to it on a cd player.

  4. No,if you ripped your CD,your flies will be courrupted. That mean,if you put on your ripped (scratched or damage) the CD disc to your PC to played it back,it will cause skipping or stoping the playback,also it will your PC (windows or MAC) will be frozen.

  5. Ripping the CD will just copy the information on the disc to your computer's hard drive. It won't harm the CD, except in the unlikely event that something's wrong with your disc drive.
