Fiber Optic internet accessed thru old 100mbps router and cabling will be bottlenecked down to regular "high speed" internet access, no?

  1. I would think it would cause a bottleneck...

    Where did you find a 400mbps internet provider? There is no way consumer grade internet would be that fast. Regular highspeed internet is by no means 100mbps or higher. Average highspeed for consumers 256kbps- 20mbps.


  2. It will be limited to 100Mbps. Perhaps you would like to tell us who is supplying this fantastic 400Mbps service, up to now the most available is 24Mbps, although one company is now promising a 40 Mbps soon.

  3. Who's the miracle worker providing the 400mbps service? Anyways, it might slow down somewhat, but i think anything that good would be terrific no matter what. And you can also just look into getting a new router. It's not terribly expensive, and if I could get a 400mbps service, I would definetely get a good router to go with it.
