If I run my cable TV through my computer, can I share what I am watching with someone on the internet?

Not exactly share but allow them to watch what I am watching.

I found out my friend never saw an episode of 'Crisis Point' and it is coming on soon and since he is in FL (I think..) it is not on at the same time.

That is why products like Slingbox exist. A DIY streaming setup is otherwise very hard to put together.
