  1. It depends on your personal circumstances.  Are/were you a UK resident for tax purposes?  Was the property in the UK your main residence?  If the answer is yes to both questions then you  should not have to pay CGT.

    What you may or may not do with money gained from the sale of a property is irrelevant for the purposes of calculating CGT liability.
