Assuming you are a member of the group, every member will get the message according to their message delivery preferences (either individual email, daily digest, or they can read it on the web).

depends on what each members mail settings are. if some are set to no mail, they wont get it in e-mail but read it from the group. generally, when you post to the groups posting address (or from off the group) all members who are on individual and digest will get it- if you're an owner or moderator,  from the group you check Special Notice (located near the botom of the text field) those members set at Special Notice will also get it.
