I was wondering if I set my computer to a previous date if the virus will still be there or will it be like normal from the date I selected in the past.

  1. It Will Be The Same. You Have To Get An AntiVirus System. Because If You Restart, The Things That You Downloaded In The First Place Will Be Saved. (Most Viruses Come From Downloading Stuff)

  2. You may be able to get rid of the Virus by Restoring to the last Save point.

Zone Alarm is a free firewall, and will stop most c**p.

AdAware will also help - it's free, or was last time I checked.

If restoring doesn't fix the problem, check Symantec, McAfee, or MS.  They may have released a patch to remove it.

    Good Luck.

  3. i had many viruses and i try restoring the pc and it is still there.

i recommend you to use Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. hope this help

  4. no, you need a program for viruses, norton, avg..

  5. It will still be there. Get a better antivirus.

Use IE and go here...it's free.

  6. Technically it wont have viruses if the restore files arent infected! But if the restore files are infected then it will still have viruses, viruses that attached themselves into the restore files. But if you want your computer to be clean and free from this wretched files. You might wanna try scanning your computer for malwares, spywares, viruses, and some stuff like those. To prevent this from happening again. You can install these for free:

    Avast for Anti-Virus

    Comodo Firewall for Firewall

Sybot S&D for anti-spyware. (Just dont enable teatimer)

  7. No it wont have a virus. Also a good anti-virus that is free is avg. Go to download.com and type in avg free edition it even has automatic updates. Protects against viruses and spyware.

  8. Why not just get Ubuntu Linux and install it on a separate partition?
