  1. honestly speaking yes, it will, as soon as ur connection is shared, the connection speed splits up and it makes both of them having a lower speed

  2. Hi,

Think of the internet connection as a highway. Right now no lanes exists on the highway, it is all your to ride.

Now each time you share the connection you are adding a lane to the highway and traffic.

So as lanes and traffic builds on the highway the speed slows down and then if somebody starts to download big files then he or she gets the fast lane and everybody slow gets by passed.

So like the pervious comment said, the connection will get slower but no significantly if your room mate is only downloading small file and not watching too much streaming video.

Streaming music is not usually a problem.

Again you both can work out a timing schedule should both of you need to download stuff, start late night and let it run overnight while you guys sleep.

Oh, I am assuming you have a broadband connection if not then the impact of sharing can be more significant. If dial up then forget it.

    Regards

  3. Well.it depends..if he's downloading or not..If he is downloading torrents and stuff.....24/7 your deffinatley going to get slow speeds..but if he's just surfing the web really..it's no problem.

one thing that makes me lag..is playing halo..and being on youtube..WOW..I HATE IT.
