If I signed for the cheque,could I give somebody else to use it?

Does the signed travel cheque have to be pay into the account under my name?

  1. If you fill in the "pay to" bit with someone else's name and then countersign the travellers cheque so that it has your signature in two places and the other persons name in the right place then they can pay it into their bank account.

    but if you have only signed the cheque once when you received it then no-one (not even you) can pay it any where.

    and if you mean can you give a once only countersigned cheque to a friend to spend in a shop etc. then NO they cannot use it as they have to sign the cheque in the shop with your signature.
