On Sunday Kosova declared independence from Serbia after years of oppresion.

Way over 90% of the population living in Kosova voted for independence.

Sure, if you keep getting away with it long enough.  That's exactly WHY we're fighting a costly war against terrorism and have to keep at it.

Some pretty long-standing hard feelings in the former Yugoslavia, a lot of it between Christians and Muslims, although many of them are learning to live together in peace.  History shows us that it was the Christians who supported Hitler and Milosevic against the largely Muslim Kosovars.

Now Vladimir Putin opposes the independence of Kosovo, while President Bush has encouraged the Kosovars to seek independence and has welcomed them to America, where they are proving themselves to be good citizens.

That says something pretty nice about George W. Bush.
