If I sprayed the water hose at a wasp hive and the hive fell down, will they come back?

Its about a 50/50 yes/no. Nest on the ground will kill the immature ones and the rest will scatter. Some might try to rebuild the nest in the same spot and if they do you should nip that one early and that should be the last of them.

The thing about wasps is once they find a good spot for a nest you have a good chance there will be others that will try to build a nest there next year so you will have to watch for future nests. Its better to deal with small nests than large ones.
