Question:

If I started an international aid charity, how would I make contacts to get the aid into the right hands?

I am interested in started a not for profit organization locally to raise money for international aid, but I haven't the faintest idea on how to make any international contacts. Do I pick a program that already runs overseas and give them the money I raise, or do i have to establish myself first and make my own contacts and establish my own infrastructure before I begin? Any help please...!

  1. You should definitely get involved in someone else's organization *first*, even if eventually, some day, you start your own charity. You need to learn about how such organization's work, how they get their services to those in need, how they make local connections, how they fund raise, etc.
