  1. OTC progesterone on a daily basis used in moderation will only enhance a sense of well being and that may in and of itself prevent miscarriage. Continue using it and try to relax and stay calm. Most women find progesterone calming and there are many health benefits to using it. Do a search on the internet and you will see. Both young and old benefit from its usage. It has a cumulative effect so the longer you use it, the better the benefits and results.  Check out this website. This woman knows her stuff.

  2. If you have a luteal phase / progesterone deficit issue than going off the progesterone too soon could lead to miscarriage.  But only if you have a progesterone issue.

As you have gone off and on it a bit sporadically, I would take a home pregnancy test and contact your doctor.

    Good luck!

  3. I agree with.  Only if you have a severe progesterone deficiency.  If you make enough of your own progesterone, coming off of it will not cause an issue.

Is this over the counter?  The over the counters aren't strong enough though to support a pregnancy, so if you do come off of it your body won't 'realize' the difference. To support a pregnancy a prescribed Prometrium or Prochieve is what to use.
