  1. It is currently illegal in the US to sell showerheads that are rated for more than 2.5 gallons per minute (gpm).  So, unless your shower is ancient, your shower head is likely producing no more than 2.5 gallons per minute.  If you have low water pressure, it may be less.  In any case, two long showers per day is a lot of water.  If you want to know whether it would be better to take a bath or a shower, plug up the bathtub the next time you shower and see if you use as much or even more water than you would if you took a bath.  If it's more water than you would use if you take a bath, maybe you could shower in the AM and have a bath in the PM.  Or a bath both AM & PM.  As for the question about whether that is too long in the shower or bathtub, you might get pretty pruney, but there is no real danger to you.  Although, you might be able to argue that if you are using city water that is chlorinated, that you are inhaling chlorine fumes and that this is not good for you.

  2. if you have a 5 gallon per minute showerhead, thats 350 gallons a day.  that's a lot of water for one person to use, even in developed countries with easy and cheap acess to water like the u.s.

  3. It depends how much water you run per minute. I like long showers too. It's an extravagance but hey, would you rather I get a hot tub?

  4. WOW what do you do srub yourself with a tooth brush. That's alot of water your using in the shower. But if your going to take that long why not take a bath. Normally with washing hair and showering your body 15 minutes is enough. What teh rest of the time your playing with yourself?

  6. If you estimate 2 gallons per minute then you would use 70 gallons for each shower and 140 gallons per day.

  7. I think the rate is 5 gallon per minute so its 350 gallons a day.
