  1. Yeah, I did this, only I took in a tiny scrap of fabric, they got it right.

  2. Lowes is supposed to guarantee paint matching anything

  3. I think so. It has to be a bigger fleck but yeah a good store should be able to.

  4. Mitre 10, Lowe's, Bunnings and The Homehardware can definately be able to matcht the paint off your wall at home.

Good Luck finding what you wanted

  5. Yes, Lowe's has that ad now where it shows the guy carrying a giant purple stuffed animal to get matched.  It says they can match anything even from a small chip of paint with some new pc program they have.  Good luck!

  6. yeah, they'll get pretty close by mixing up a special batch for you

  7. Define fleck.  If we're talking of the usual "fleckish" size of a piece of glitter - then, no they can't match that.  If you take in a piece several inches by several inches, there should be no difficulty.  Under 1"x1" you are probably on thin ice.

  8. Supposedly yes, I think there is a commercial for either Lowe's or Home depot where they show customers bring in everything from a purple teddy bear to a leaf to get it exactly matched.  So call them in your area and ask them or go to their sites and maybe it will say exactly~

  9. usually, yes, but if the paint is old and discolored, or the company no longer makes the paint, then no...but they can get it close enough that you might only need 1 coat of paint...

  10. Yes, a good paint store can do that. I have done it many times

  11. A "fleck" probably would not be big enough.  You would need to take something that is big enough for the computer to read it.  I would recommend taking something at least 1" square in size.

Even if you just want them to match it by sight (without the computer), it would be nice to have something that's at least as big as one of the small paint chips you get at the paint store.
