  1. The others have made the units clear. I will comment further on the meaning. I suspect that you have been using melatonin. It has a use of helping us who travel around the world readjust to new time zones. Usually the smaller amount is used for that purpose. 300 micrograms is sufficient for that purpose. It is used at bedtime. Regular, habitual use will turn off the body's production of it, so it is best to be used for short periods, like a few days or a week.

For a few others, it helps tune the immune system to function more appropriately and sometimes is used for serious illness, like cancers. Some have used it in Italy for cancers. A maximum dose of 20 milligrams is used for this and should be monitored because it can induce bad dreams.

  2. no is not?????????????????

  3. No. 300 mcg (microgram) is is only 0.3 mg (milligram), so the new supplement you got, with 300 mcg, has ten times less of the substance.

  4. 3mg = 3000 mcg.   So the 3mg is 10 times more than 300mcg

  5. Ah...Americans and their rugged determination to avoid the metric system. You really have to admire their stubborness when all the world is against them...or am I talking about Iraq?

Anyways.."milli" means 1000 ( or one thousandth), micro means millionth.

so 3 mg is actually 3000 mcg.
