  1. prob not, but why risk losing the social aspect of it? I wouldn't homeschool my child because I would want them to make friends and have FUN as well as learn, rather than be stuck in a house.

  2. For the classes she has completed, no. For those she has not, most likely. Check with the school board for details.

  3. Depends upon the teachers and the 'rules and regulations' in your area.  Speak to someone in the Administrative office of your school system for information about this.

There are only 9 school weeks left in Kentucky.  I have homeschooled  all year, but would still take my kid out if i needed to.

Have you got a solid gold reason to take her out??  Like you are leaving the country for a job change or something?

Or is there a discipline problem or a 'fight'?  Working WITH the difficulties is usually more appropriate than yanking the kid out of school.  Another thing. . . does SHE want to be home educated??  If not, you are in for a big hassle.

    Hope all goes well.

  4. My parents pulled me out my sophomore year of high school to home school and all of my credits transferred- it shouldn't be a problem at all. I'm graduating this May and haven't encountered any problems with the credits :) Good Luck

  5. I'll give you the facts for our state since every state varies in the rules and regulations.

As a homeschool parent/teacher we keep a transcript of studies.   There would be nothing wrong with you giving credit for the classes she has taken in public school.   You can do that in a way to show that it was public school classes but YOU are the one that gives her the credit.

You then just continue with the classes that you assign.

There are some websites with sample transcripts to give you some ideas of what it should look like when she graduates.

She will graduate when she finishes the education that you determine to be complete for high school.

There are certain classes that will be necessary for college admission and the colleges will look for those classes on her transcript.

  6. no she will not lose her credits at all. And she can graduate the same as she would if she were staying in a traditional high school

  7. Homeschooling can effect her credits if you plan on putting her back into a public or private school later on. They may require that she take a placement test in order to get credit for the work she does at home.

However, if you plan on home schooling until she graduates than there should be no problem. Most colleges, universities, and employers will accept a home school diploma and transcripts created and issued by a parent. Many universities including some of the ivy leagues actively seek out homeschool graduates.

  8. no
