If I take my sunglasses to an eyewear place, would they be able to take the lenses out?

And replace them with clear ones?

Because I have the Ray Ban Wayfarer sunglasses and I love how they look (with clear lenses). So I was just wondering.

If there the type that do pop out, it would be cheaper then gettin gnew fancy ones put in. Buy a whole new pair would maybe be cheaper

Yes but they mightn't be too happy since the glasses aren't from their place.

They may also charge high prices.

You can have the lenses replaced no problem, did it for years.  The only problem may be finding a place to do it. Go to an independent optical, instead of a chain, like lenscrafters, target, etc. (The company that owns lenscrafters is the same company who owns the RayBan name now). Those places will be less likely to help you with your own frame because they want to sell you a whole pair of glasses, not just the lenses. Independent opticians are usually more customer service oriented and better suited to assist you with your easy request.

They can take them out but in order to have clear lenses put in, they would have to cut the clear lenses to fit into your frames correctly. Might be cheaper to just get a second pair of glasses with the clear lenses already in.

Ray Ban makes an opthalmic version of the Wayfarer that does not have sun lenses in it. I have one in my store at this very moment. It is made by Luxottica, who owns Ray-Ban, and the style number is RX 5121. You could try to find them in a store that carries Ray-Ban, ask you regular provider to order them, or, if you trust the web-site, buy them on-line.

The regular Wayfarer sunglass can also be used, but the plastic used is different. The opthalmic version is more flexible, easier to adjust, and will hold adjustment better.

Are they real  glasses  or 10.00$  cheapys..Most of the  time  they  warrenty  out of  store glasses.
