If I take something from there, to here, is it still the same something I took?

But it was always a cookie you just cut it up and heated it.

  3. It could be argued that any minor force applied to the object might alter it in subtle ways on the surface, though the structure of the object would not be so irrevocably changed so as have to rename it as another substance.

    On a mental level, as soon as any idea is absorbed, it becomes privy to all your norms and interpretation begins immediately.  If the idea is accepted it is stored to long term memory.  In an abstract way, it is not the same unless acted upon once there through further examination of the thought i.e discussion.
