If I take train from Dublin to Belfast will someone be checking my passport again?

I am American flying into Dublin, I know they will stamp my passport there, but will they stamp it again on the train?

  12. Don't think so. Didn't check mine when I travelled to Northern Ireland 2 years ago by train, which was just as well because I didn't have it with me. If you live on the island, you only need a picture ID, so I had my driver's licence.
