  1. You can date, having s*x is another matter however.

  2. You can still date, you just have to have protected s*x.  I have a friend that has HPV and she has had several healthy relationships.  NO MORE UNPROTECTED s*x.  You could have caught something much more worse than that.

  3. what does hpv have to do with your ability to date? if you have absolutely no self-control and sleep with everyone...then don't date! i would say take your time dating, and if you really feel like you might want to get physical with something then have a talk with them. but all in all from my experience...its better to find support first before you start dating again. its easier to cope and learn how to deal with hpv if you talk with other people who have it. they can tell you what works for them when they wanted to date.

  4. First of all, feeling disgusting about yourself is not going to help the issue. Your sexual partners with unprotected intercourse is the issue, that is how you got a positive HPV test in the first place.

I hope that you have sat down with your doctor and discussed your options on the surgery you will have or had and what to expect afterwards. Then you also need to be aware that if you continue to have unprotected s*x you are putting yourself at risk for further HPV positive as well as cervical cancer and other STD.

Make sure you keep your follow-up apts with your doctor to make sure you are free of the HPV.

You should know that there are all kinds of HPV viruses, just because you had one do not mean you can not get another. Good Luck to you.
