If I travel to India with my bf & we plan to stay together, would it be easier to pretend we are married?

I thought it would be clear (but obviously not by the answer I've been given) but I mean in regards to being culturally appropriate and not offending anybody?

  4. Actually, India has changed a lots.. you meant those people who are ignorant in the name of culture maybe follow certain myths like that.. just say to people your his girlfriend.. people will understand, respect and accept it..

  5. Actaully people in india are aware of couples staying together without marriage. Though it is not common place there they know it happens everywhere in the world. So i guess you won't be offendign anyone!

    And pretending being married will not achieve anything in my opinion.
