  4. Edinburgh is pretty cool; go see Edinburgh Castle and Holyroodhouse (which I think the royals stay at when they're up there). A beautiful city. Great to walk around in.

  5. Parkhead

  6. Edinburgh is great apart from the weather

  7. Never been to Ireland (south) so I don't know. As for Scotland.....

If you want scenery then you have to go to the North West and also up through the Great Glen. Stay away from the tourist traps and go and see the real Scotland.

  10. I can save you a bit of time here . Avoid North East Scotland because there is nothing there worth seeing.  And Aberdonians are notoriously small minded . Plus everything is 10% more expensive. You will not feel  welcome.

The rest of Scotland is wonderful , though.  I recommend Edinburgh, Stirling, Perth Dundee and Inverness. These are exciting cities. The scenery in the west of Scotland is stunning, too.

  11. I would recomend the west of ireland for example galway. You get the beauty of the countryside/ seaside as well as the city. there are numerous historical and cultural sites in this area. as well the gaeltacht which is one of the only fully irish(gaelt) speaking areas.

I think summer is best time to go to galway as you have the galway arts festiva,l galway races, and the oyster festival. At this time of year galway is the most alive. And you can always escape to area near by like the burren in co. clare.

    enjoy the hoilday!

  12. Wales and England and maybe The Isle of Man

  13. go to the west of ireland or Donegal- Im Irish I know what Im talking about

  14. 2 different countries, 2 different cultures!

Personally I would go to Ireland!

Because there are fewer tight fisted, whinging scotch miseries!
