I've heard some people go to Japan for free. Well, not free, but the pretty much reimbruse their cost of their trip by buying stuff in Japan, and reselling on eBay.

Can someone give me a list of items I could buy in Japan, and resell in the States?

  1. I think you heard wrong. Almost nothing in Japan is any cheaper than it is here in the US. A lot of things are actually higher.Someone is pulling your leg. A free trip to Japan doesn't exist. Unless you join the Marines.

  2. You could probably buy some anime goods in Japan and sell them in the U.S. for a profit because of the high demand but I seriously doubt you can buy enough to cover the cost of your trip or even make a dent in it with air costing $1500 alone right now. Many airlines also charge you a fee for additional luggage too so you have to cover the cost of that as well.

  3. You'd do a lot better to buy in the US and sell in Japan.  Coach bags, sunglasses, etc. are a lot cheaper here in the states.  Heck, my mother-in-law even buys things like ziploc bags while she's here to take back to Japan because things are just that much more expensive there.
