  1. if you only care about your punches then do boxxing if you want to be able to kick knee elbow aswell then go mauy thai

  2. dont do boxing but kickboxing.

kickboxing is same thing as boxing but they also let you kick and train ur legs

  3. I's suggest Boxing but find a good quality coach and club.

    Best wishes :)***

  4. If you want better hands, boxing is the way to go. Its also good that you want to start now since you're still pretty young. If you box for a few years and work hard at it you'll be very good with your hands.

As for a more complete stand up game, go kickboxing or Muay Thai. You could also try some Judo. I know Judo is grappling, but its more about take-downs and throws while staying on your feet, as opposed to Jiu Jitsu where you're rolling on the ground with your opponent.

  5. practice.

  6. do boxing for 2 years and then do muay thai for two, bjj for 2. then, do MMA. Try wing chun, choylayfut or southern praying mantis if you have a chance.

  7. I'd go with boxing. But thats just me because though muay thai is anawsome martial art unless your an extremly good martial artist kicks can be hard to use in real life fight situation. So if your going for punching power go with boxing.

Note: I've just started boxing but am already seeing my power increase. Speed to.

  8. Kickboxing is pretty similar to muay thai too.

  9. I agree with ghost scribble and komits regarding boxing.  The only thing I have to add on top of that is my own experience, while in Japan, my aiki-jujitsu dojo had boxers teaching us how to punch knowing that boxers have the most powerful punches as well as some of the best head movement.

On a side note, the muay thai, kenpo and kyokushin fighters were the ones to teach kicks, knees and elbows, while the Judo and aikido guys were the throwers and the grapplers.  I am sure wrestlers would have been more promenant if we had wrestlers there.

  10. Go with Muay Thai. A Muay Thai fighter will beat a Boxer any day.

  11. If you just want inherently faster harder hands do boxing, however for a better stand up game you need Muay thai
