They'll do ANYTHING for money!!! trust me!! they just say you need good credit just to make the company "compliant with the law" or something like that. Actually my dad got a cell and they didn't check his credit but did ask for Social Security number but i was surprised.

Don't know about the signing. But don't be in love with AT&T. Anymore they are a tiny company nickel and dime you. Took me 8 days to get out of AT&T and into Vonage.

This is not the big AT&T co many many years ago. This is a company that will s***w you.

As far as phones, check out Uniden, Panasonic etc at your local library Oct'07 Consumer Reports.

if you have bad credit....then get the go-phone or any other pre-paid cell phone Virgin mobile is cool...

i'm sorry but at&t is c**p. i got a home phone with at&t and

it has static and i hear little rips of wind a thing like that. but sorry also because my credit is bad..=[

I just got one for myself and they didnt even ask for my ssn or my id!  i belive its because SOOO many illegals ned phone service so thats why them dont require you give them your personal info... call and ask
