If I want to open a store? ?

If I want to open a dollar store how would I go about finding merchandise to sell for a dollar and is it expensive to get started? If you have any idea please let me know.

Go into a dollar store in a nearby town and talk to the owner. Explain that you are not looking to open near by so you will not be his competition. Ask him/her what it took to open and who they buy their stock from. Who knows they may be looking to sell their store and you might be able to get into an established location.
