If I want to study in England, what types of test I am supposed to take to get into a University there? Does it affect me if I study there but did High School here in U.S.A.? What is exactly the A-test and what other tests are required to enter a university there? you know how here they ask for community hours and resume and good extracurricular activities...what do they ask for over there?? What is Oxford University? what does it focus on?

  1. International students are not required to take A-levels to attend university in the U.K. and for what it is worth, A-levels are not an exam/test, they are an actual program much like completing an Associates Degree in the U.S. before going onto a four-year instiution to complete your major. A-levels are a two year program.

However, all that is irrelivent to you. International students from the United States are generall required to take present their high-school diploma and SAT I or ACT scores. You are also expected to take the AP tests.

For Oxford University you will need SAT I scores of at least 1,400 in Critical Reading and Mathematics and preferably also 700 or more in the Writing Paper, giving a combined score of at least 2,100, or ACT with a score of at least 32 out of 36. You would also need a Grade 5 in two or more Advanced Placement tests in appropriate subjects or SAT II two or three appropriate subjects at 700 or better.

No extracurricular acitivies are required for international students

Your last two question about Oxford make little sense, why do you take a look at the Oxford University website and look for the requirements to attend as an international student and what programs the university offers.
