  1. Aim for a college degree in journalism or English, or take writing and editing classes. Build up your vocabulary, grammar skills and current events knowledge by regularly reading different magazines, newspapers and journals.

Call various magazines to find out if they are hiring interns. Write a letter to the head of the department at companies where you would like to work. Submit information on your academic background and experience and include the reason for choosing the magazine.

Search the classified section of the newspapers for any editorial job openings in your area. Send your resume to apply for any editorial position that fits your experience and academic background

Get lots of experience as much as you can even if the work is unpaid you can still put it on your resume and it will definitly help you out. Any college is good for journalism because English is a very studied subject so I guess any college would be fine.

  2. We are currently seeking interns to write articles about the media. Feels free to email your work to: dsrmagazine@yahoo.com
