It's a package of Cerazette (female contraceptive pills).

The pills containdesogestrel, sillica, colloidal anhydrous, alpha-tocopherol, lactose monohydrate, maize starch, povidone and stearic acid. Their fil;m is made up of hypromellose, macrogol 400 (whatever that is), talc and titanium dioxide.

For each month, they come in plastioc 'bubble' packs with foil on the other side (like most pills - of any kind - do).

Two of them are enclosed in plasticky-foil-type wrappers and all of this is in a cardboard box.

I've thrown them away as I've been feeling awful since I started taking then 10 days ago and they're now in the bin.... but they ned something else done to them as well.

Serious answers only please

  1. Well, the standard methods to dispose of unused meds are to:

    1. Return them to the pharmacy.

    or

    2. Flush them down the toilet.

If you still decide to burn them most of the constituents are pretty benign, especially when incinerated. The biggest risk is from the plastics in the container (which is pretty minimal FYI)
