If I wanted to go to become a real estate agent, what classes would I take in college?

I want to do real estate but I definitely want to go to college. maybe business classes?

  1. You could do almost any major, but any that helps you deal with people more effectively would be good.  

    I'm sure you already know that most states require a real estate agent to complete a series of courses to become licensed.  You'd want to check on the rules for that in the state you're interested in.

    It might be a good idea to talk with a practicing real estate agent or two to get some insight into what's involved re education.  Call a couple of agencies and ask whether someone might be interested in talking with you.  Or go to an "open house" and chat with the agent there - the worst that can happen is he or she could brush you off.  [Take a parent or other adult with you!]
