Question:

If I wanted to name my son Max...?

Should I go with just plain Max, or Maxwell, Maximillian, or Maximus (lol)?

I'm leaning toward Maxwell. I don't want to just call him Max because the last name would be Wright and Max Wright just doesn't sound great to me.

What do you think of the name Max anyway?

  1. Name him whatever you want. It's your son. so if your'e leaning towards maxwell, i suggest you go for it.

  2. I like Max and have a close friend with this name.his name is just Max but i also like Maxwell with Max for a nick name.

Maximillian or Maximus is just too pretentious and sounds like a better name for a extra large condom in my opinion!!

    good luck!

  3. I like just Max. Or then Maxim:)

  4. haha my fiance loves the name Maximus. Maximillian reminds me of the bugs bunny and tweety show, the little kid who is rich....hahaha

  5. cool! I like maxwell

  6. Maxwell is my cousins name, and we just call him Max. I would go with Maxwell, because Maximillian and Maximus sound weird to me, and I agree with you that plain Max doesn't sound that great.

Here are some middle names if you want them...

    Maxwell Carson  (My cousins name)

    Maxwell Martin

    Maxwell Alexander

    Maxwell Joseph

    Maxwell Thomas

    Maxwell Logan

    Maxwell Tyler

    Maxwell Austin

    I hope this helps! : )

Good Luck with your baby boy! : )

  7. I agree Max Wright doesn't go well. I love the name Maxwell Wright!! I know a guy named Maxwell, and EVERYONE calls him Max :)

Maxmillian is nice too, but I would stick to Maxwell.

    Congrats!

  8. I have friends who named their child just "Max" its quite acceptable now. I don't like Maxwell Wright myself it sounds weird to me and makes me think of cheap bad coffee (maxwell house)

Maximillian is great when he's older you can always threaten to call him that in front of his friends and suddenly he will do what he is told. Just kidding. I like maximillian and I don't think he would be teased for it. A lot of old names are coming back and the ones people are teased about change so you just can't know unless its a name that sounds like something else like farkus or dorkus

  9. I'm leaning more towards Maxwell too, just so he has "an option"  Max is a bit short just for a first name, but maybe that's what you want.

  10. I like the name Max.. I don't really know many people (in my area at least) with the name.. I think I would lean more to naming him like Maxwell and Max for short, but that's just me.. I don't really like the other too.. sounds to old school greek for my likings.. Maxwell Edward Wright.. (I like it.. haha, sorry just used Edward cause it's the 1st name I thought of). Congrats & Good Luck, sure you will find the perfect name, whatever it is.. xo
