Question:

If I wanted to represent a different country than my own in the olympics, how would I go about that?

I'm thinking about maybe trying to represent Ireland in the sport of wrestling. I'm Irish by heritage, and as far as I know, they aren't showcased in the olympics (for wrestling). If I wanted to wrestle for Ireland, could I? If so, how do I do it?

  1. i think you need to be a citizen of that country, and have them want you badly.  


  2. You need Irish citizenship to represent Ireland.

  3. you would have to be publicly known

    so like going to nationals and being really good in the US

    and they would ask you.

  4. Any competitor in the Olympic Games must be a national of the country of the National Olympic Committee which is entering him.
