"Eighty percent voted yes, and twenty percent voted no."

Would voted be in singular or plural third person? (votó or votaron)?

    El ochenta porciento votó sí y veinte porciento votó no.

    Singular because the results are of a group (sing.) of people. If you were to say:

    Eight percent of the people voted yes, then it would be:

    El ochenta porciento de personas votaron sí.
