If I wanted to study guitar for 8 hours a day what would be something important to put in?

Like a specific thing. Not like do chords. Like please tell me a good way to learn the chords. So far I just improvise a lot but that gets very redundand and boring after a while. Ive been playing for like 8 months but cant do any fast solos yet because im trying to not use tab so I could learn by ear

Scales, scales and more scales.

You should know the Major and minor scales as well as the modal scales.  Knowing these scales will greatly increase your soloing "vocabulary".

If you want to gian speed, you need to alternate pick each note withot exception.

If you do the following exercise, on each string and alternate pick each note, you will improve your speed in 2 weeks time.

Exercise 1

1-2-3-4 (first 4 fret) and place each finger on each fret. Now do this on all the string .

Work backward from the high E to the low E 4-3-2-1.

Now reverse and start 4-3-2-1 and finish sith 1-2-3-4 backwards.

Then do, 1-4-3-2 on all sring going up and coming down.

then 1-3-2-4, 1-2-4-3, 1-4-2-3, 1-3-4-2

then 2-1-3-4, 2-1-4-3, 2-3-1-4, 2-3-4-1,2-4-3-1, 2-4-1-3

continue using all 24 combinations for the fingering.
