If I was stranded on an Island how would I make electricity?

The same way you do now, thru a chemical reaction in the cells of your body. You could also find some plastic or rubber item and rub it against your hair or some fabric and get some static electricity.

You could watch a few episodes of Gilligan's Island for ideas. Seriously, if you need electricity I assume you have some appliances or a radio to be powered. So, you might have some of the bare essentials in the form of water flowing for a hydro plant, but you'd need expertise and raw materials you're not going to find on a deserted island to build it.

Solar is a different story, if you have access to mirrors, some  metal pipe or tubing and can make a generator and turbine you could cobble together a little steam generation plant powered by sunlight boiling the water in the tubes. Yeah, that's what I'd do but only after the batteries ran out.

If you're thinking of getting stranded on a deserted island, be sure to carry a dynamo flashlight and some cables. Then all you need to do is crank it and produce a little electricity.

well if you got stranded with your electrical appliances this may also include solar panels and wind generators or maybe the odd turbine ,that you could use in the water falls

so you would be up to your neck in electricity.

you should be more worried about having the right seeds with you ,such as hops to brew beer with.

Cant see why you would want electricity.  But you can if you know how, make electricity from water, sun, wind, pedal power.............................
