  1. Depends on how much effort you want to put in to things, 40 is certainly not to old to relocate, but if you need to learn a new language to work and communicate with the locals, that takes some doing. I built a house in Brazil 3 years ago and will relocate there once I'm sure I can speak Portuguese well enough to get me through

  2. I was 47 when i moved to Germany without qualifications .

  3. america, germany, japan (they are huuge on robotics)..

its never too late to make a shift in your life!! go for it!

  4. Where do you live now? If not in London, couldn't you just go there? It'd be much easier than moving abroad...

Or Manchester. Basically any large city

  5. I agree that the USA would be a good option.  Other ideas would be Brazil.  I used to work in the engineering department of a company called SubSea in Aberdeen who made ROV's and they were mainly used locally, in Norway, the USA and Brazil although there was a project in Namibia but I don't recommend that for the kids!  Anywhere with a flourishing oil industry uses robots and by the way 40 is not old!  My dad relocated from Aberdeen to London at 60 and found himself a new job.  The thing is, with the oil industry, they can't just find hundreds of people on the doorstep with the right experience.  It takes years to learn.

  6. move to Ireland, Austrailia or America that way you won't have to learn a new language and as long as you're alive it's never too late to do anything

  7. Employment is a big factor, as well as language skills.  Check out high tech employment countries.

    It's never too late!

  8. Move to the US.  We need more robots.

  9. 01000100

    00100101

    00000001

  10. It's never too late, but it depends on what kind of lifestyle you enjoy as to where abouts you move to. I'm sure there are plenty of work opportunities for this type of career in America, and it's a very geographically diverse country and so you'd have plenty of choice as to what kind of life you lead. Talk to your wife and see what she might like as, remember, you have the rest of your family to think about too. Do plenty of research on the USA and the countries that other people have mentioned so that you can make an informed decision. Good luck :)
