  1. i don't think so. this is all speculation. i think that the reason the water stays in little globs is due to a small gravitational pull from the water itself. i think your dookie gas would disappate, like if you eyedroppered a bit of dye into the middle of a jar of still water. it might take a little time, but you would eventualy fill your spacecraft with rotten poo gas.

    hehe...poo gas

  2. Well, farting in space would be quite a problem, considering that it would involve a spacesuit, which would cover....necessary parts...in which case the f**t would stay within the suit.....

If it were possible for you to survive without the suit, then yes, your toot would stay in one spot, since there is no air for it to travel on...

  3. Assuming you wanted to live, you'd be in a space suit or a space capsule of some type and the f**t would be right there with you.  Enjoy.

  4. Dude, you got way too much time on your hands. Get a job and think about something important.

  5. Well, if you were in Space, you would be wearing a space suit. Therefore, it would stay inside your suit and you would have a hard time breathing. But to answer your question I would say, Yes, it will stay in one spot.

  6. If you're wearing a space suit (highly recommended when going out for a stroll), then it stays in your space suit.  As they say: "He who farts in church must sit in his own pew."

If you're inside a space ship or station, it will disperse everywhere, just as it is in any room on Earth, to be enjoyed by all. You may also enjoy a bit of jet propulsion.

If you're outside without a suit, (in which case it might be more than just passing gas), then it will disperse very quickly in the vacuum filling a very large volume.

  7. If you do so inside a cabin or a space suit, nothing special will happen. The smell will follow the air flow, but does otherwise only expand (it does not go upwards, like hot air, which a f**t mostly is, should on Earth - there is no up in orbit). After passing the filters in the life support system, it will smelling like the other air in the cabin/suit. Which is not the best smell.

If you would do so in a part of a spacecraft without forced airflow (for example, a cargo spacecraft which just docked), the smell will mostly stay where you left it. It will only slowly spread out and that mostly by your movements.

  8. No, the univerise is always expanding and therefore nothing ever stays in one place.  I like your question though.

  9. no, given that there is no resistance in space, the gas would spread out words ultimately being drawn to the object with most gravitational force.

  10. maybe it would orbit the sun

  11. a stationary toot without a suit does not compute.  for every action there exists an opposite and equal reaction.  you and your toot would tend to commute on an opposite route.  and if you do not soon acquire a suit the point is mute.  salute!

  12. no it wont stop or stand in a constant place.. it just flow in space.. and just wont stop
