I am a collector of autographs and I saw a question asked on here about which autographs to ask for through the mail and I was just wandering how I would go about doing that. It would really help me out in my collecting if i could ask future prospects in the minors for autographs before they got too big. Thanks for the answers.

  1. send a letter to the team making up a sob story about how poor u are and how much it would mean to u if_______ would sign somethign for u to have in ur room.  lol   it works

  2. I used to send duplicate baseball cards to different teams with a SASE with a pre-typed letter saying I am a baseball fan & collector of cards & autographs & ask them to sign cards (I would only send 2 or 3 or plain index card) & tell them their autograph would be a nice addition to my collection & I would keep track of who signs & how long it took. I don't send cards to superstars, they get too much stuff in the mail & usually don't sign.

  3. Go to this website: http://www.sportsaddresslists.com/baseba... and buy the baseball address list.  It won't give you home addresses of minor leaguers that haven't played in the majors but it will list the home address of every living player who played in the majors.  It will also tell you which ones charge for their signature and how much.  I bought one for my son last Christmas and he loves it.  The best way to get signatures is to send baseball cards in a S.A.S.E.

  4. You can simply mail a request to the marketing department of the team they play for.

My buddy went to spring training this year, said that there were more opportunities for autographs than he could imagine. That might have been because it was the MN Twins camp, and they're mostly stand-up fan-loving people!

  5. mail the team.

and my first suggestion is to mail the rays and ask for David Price. He is gonna b hugeee!

  6. Send a letter to the teams address with the players name on it.

  7. Go to the teams web site, then mail whatever it is to them and put C/O (care/of) the person you want to sign. It will take awhile to get it back though.
