If I were to move to Canada, where would the best city or town be for a snowlover?

There are so many cities and towns that regularly get snow that you need to narrow down your requirements a bit. Do you just like to look at the snow or do you want to ski in it? What sort of work will you be looking for, if any? City, small city, town or small town? Do you have a lot of money or not? The snow in cities tends to get dirty pretty fast so often won't look pretty for so long as in small places. Smaller places will also allow you to do outdoor activities in the snow more easily than larger places since you don't need to go far to ski, snowmobile or whatever in the snow, sometimes you can start right from your back door.

Whistler, BC, but that's a sky resort, so it is only for sport, I don't think lot of people live there

Places with lots of snow? hmmm, try Winnipeg or Calgary, u'll get sick of the snow !! or Montreal, hey most of places in Canada are for snow lovers, except Victoria and Vancouver

well, anywhere in the northern canada. British columbia is known for lots of snow in the winter and many HUGE moutains. So, you can go skiing, snowboarding etc.some citites include banff and vancouver.  Also, Alberta has lots of mounbtains and is known for snow. some cities include calgary and edmonton

All the other users mentioned good options for lots of snow, but....Ottawa has the largest range of snow activities, with chances to skate the canal, snowshoe, sled on numerous hills and cross-country or downhill ski.

Also, we got over 4 meters of snow this year. Which is a LOT of snow.

Go to Edmonton it almost April and were still being snowed on. Yellowknife and Whitehorse get it pretty bad as well.

If you love snow, then I would recommend BC, especially north of Vancouver. As an alternative, Banff, Jasper and all of Alberta should work out well for you.

Barrie, Ontario is in the snow belt.  So if you really love snow you will get the most there in the winter.

If you love snow all year round you are better off in the Northwest Territories, Yukon, or Nunavut.

If you are into skiing Banff, Alberta has killer mountains.  But any prairie province like Alberta, Manitoba, or Saskatchewan will get really cold in the winter and get snow before mostly everyone else.
