Do car rental places place a restriction or charge you extra for every mile you put on a car?

In case you're wondering, I was thinking about taking a rental on a cross-country trip.

  1. Some companies charge a per mile fee after an allowed amount but most offer "unlimited" mileage.  You have to ask when getting a quote

  2. Depends on where you go... or what kind of deals they have when you buy.. enterprise you can get a weekend special, unlimited kilometres, anywhere in the Atlantic provinces... its extra if you want to go cross country

You just have to call around..

  3. Depends on who you rent from.
