If I were to use my audio out (red, white) on my TV, would I lose sound from from TV speakers?

I have some Bose companion 2 speakers with red and white inputs and may as well use them for my TV. I just dont want to lose the sound from my TV speakers.

  1. I don't think so. Generally you only lose the TV speakers if you plug into the head set connection.Try it, it won't hurt anything.


  2. Probably not, but you can just mute the tv. Why don't you just give it a try? What's 2 cables?

  3. Why you wanna do that anyway, Beside dont be sure if that would work i wont do it your tv speakers would sound better. The audio output on tv is set to be use on audio receivers so can put it in the receiver input an amplified the sound from there and the output in the tv is not amplified, but why you want to put a pc speakers in the tv.

    anyway some tv have an option to turn tv speakers off most tv connect it via the audio output let the speakers on so you have to put it in mute to use another source, but thats depend on the brand and model of your tv.
